Buying or not?

These few days, I have been troubled by the question of 'buying or not?'. For me, this is really a question that requires a lot of effort to answer. There is a lot of factors that I need to consider, my financial status, my real needs, my enjoyment and so on. Which factor should I prioritize and so on. After considering all these things, I often ended up not buying anything.

So should I not thinking so much and instead just buy it? Would that seems to be more silly? But even if I don't use that money to buy the things that I want, I often spend that amount of money on something that I don't really appreciate.

This is really not an easy choice to make.

Choices

Life is just full of choices at all times. Different people are troubled at making different choices. There are some people I know that often think a lot of what to eat for every meal. Others thinking of what to wear every day. Some thinking of what to do every day. And I do have my own troubles as well.

Choices of OSes and choices of languages have always been my consideration. Can't really settle down after so many years as I have shared in my last post.

Choices of what to do and consequences of do or not doing. There is a lot of things that I want to do but I am not sure how. To start doing it means a lots of determination. And I guess most of the times I just try to avoid that. I knew I have been doing this for a long time but I just couldn't get away from this mindset yet. Hoping to get over this to become a better me.

Choices of writing this out or not. And now it is written. That's all for this time.

Linux Distributions and Programming Languages

If I am trying to be a liar, I will tell you that I am a very loyal user of 1 Linux distribution and I have been focusing on 1 programming language.

But that is not the truth. Since the beginning of 2004, I have been hopping from Ubuntu, PCLinuxOS, Unity Linux, Fedora and Arch Linux. And recently, between Ubuntu and Arch Linux. Each of these distribution has their pros and cons. And these pros and cons are the main reason of my switch. At a certain time of period, I want an OS that just works, then I choose Ubuntu because 'normal user's stuffs are polished better in it. And at other time, I want to be more adventurous and getting newer software faster, then I switch to Fedora and Arch Linux. And when I feel like contributing back to the Linux community, I feel more welcomed in a small community like PCLinuxOS and Unity Linux.

Sometimes, I feel bad about hopping here and there. But other times, I found that this is a way for me to learn more about Linux too. The same theory goes to programming language.

Since I was exposed to programming, I have come across C, C++, Visual Basic, Java, Python, Ruby, and various Web programming languages. Depending on my need at times, I switch between them. I have been wondering whether this is a good thing for me or not as I could have explored deeper about 1 programming language if I just focus on it. But still that is just a thought and as long as I could have done what is passed to me, I think any languages should be fine.

P/S:
Wow. Things changes a lot in Blogger here and apparently I wasn't here for almost one whole year. Things are getting better and well done, Googlers.

Back to Blogger again.

I am just thinking of posting something here again. I haven't been here for a long time. So hope to post more things from here. That's all.
